dash redemption here jock content there you’re all so extremely valid but my next proposal is Paulina redemption with a side of Danny joins the cheer squad. she sees him do one (1) vertical front flip and then stalks him for a week til he agrees to join up
Danny now owns compression tights and seven pairs of the cheer shoes and also way less hoodies bc his squad mates steal them all. Phantom is a terrifying level of flexible now and also way better at on-purpose kicks.
bonus: Sam and Dash both get to have a gay awakening while watching their friends at cheer practice. they have silent solidarity but neither will ever ever speak of it on pain of death
alright i wasn’t expecting this to be such a hit (700 notes! overnight!! wrow) so here’s some more thoughts:
- the squad is at least a little bit gender diverse before Danny gets there, just bc stories about Wow a New Gender Has Arrived In Our Thing don’t particularly interest me. there’s like, fifteen or so people on the squad? I think?
- the show doesn’t give us much to go on about the squad so for members so far I have Paulina. and Danny. and the two other girls in the doodle: the backspot being from that one cheer bit in canon (i’m gonna call her.. Parker. for now) and the fly being Naomi, my oc friend for Jazz lol
- Paulina gets weirdly attached to making sure that Danny is taking care of himself correctly so that he can stay on the team. those were rad flips, okay? sue her. her intense sister energy eventually quashes Danny’s crush on her. she keeps taking away his sugary snacks and making him come to study nights
- at some point the squad finds out that Danny is Phantom, but they swear themselves to secrecy and all this changes from an outside perspective is that for some reason the cheerleaders are now ready to throw hands with most of the ghosts. Kwan swears he once saw one of them berating Skulker about not showing up until after 5:30 on weeknights
- they do both sports game cheer and competitive cheer
- I could go either way on Dash/Danny but Paulina and Sam are endgame here

A Christmas gift exchange story with unintended (though not unwelcome) consequences.

This is not the first time it’s happened. It is, in fact, not even the fourth or fifth. It’s like he has a sixth sense or the fine-tuned hearing of a fellow feline, that leads him straight to them.
Often, it’s just one cat, skin and bones and scrounging in an alley for restaurant scraps. Sometimes it’s an entire litter, abandoned and alone, mewing frantically in search of a savior. Once in a while, he finds their mom there, too, ragged and worn and tired from life on the streets.
It always ends the same way.
Chat Noir knows the location of every animal refuge in Paris, their hours, and the names of each employee and volunteer he’s met so far. Several have even set up crates in a secure area for the cats he brings after closing. It’s amazing that it hasn’t made the news in all these years, but somehow, Paris’s own black cat has humbly and quietly saved the lives of dozens of the city’s neediest felines.
